When it comes to improving health, I often find that grounding and meditative activities are not prioritized. Most effort goes into hitting the gym and cleaning up ones’ diet but for me, my Kundalini Yoga practice is as important as my diet to my overall wellbeing.

 

Why? According to ancient principles of Ayurveda, the mind and the body are inextricably connected, and nothing has more power over healing and transforming the body than the mind! Therefore, I always advice my clients to add a spiritual, grounding practice to their wellness plan. Kundalini Yoga is the perfect form according to me as it blends the spiritual with the physical and therefore achieves greater vitality as well as a higher level of consciousness and mindfulness.

Kundalini Yoga classes are designed to encourage others to commit to Self Mastery and to align with their own Soul's deepest desire and connect with their highest purpose.

Have you ever wanted to start Yoga, and didn't know where to begin? This is a 10-week beginner Yoga series that will teach you everything you need to know from the ground up. This is also great for a seasoned yogi that wants to learn more! We take it SLOW, so you can feel confident enough to join any studio or start your own practice by the completion of the series!!

 

This series is taught from a Kundalini Yoga perspective, but we will explore all of Patanjali's 8 limbs so you can find the perfect yoga fit for you! This series is over 10 weeks, but don't worry, if you miss a class you can always retake a class in the Summer Series. So grab a friend and join us!

Private Yoga sessions

I offer private yoga sessions where I design and walk you through a personalized Yoga program based on your numerology, current health or personal challenges, and yogic skill level. This includes a specific pranayama, kriya, meditation and mantra to be practiced for 30, 60, or 90 days.

Private yoga sessions and a personalized plan can be extremely beneficial when combined with a recovery program or mental health professional's guidance. My private sessions are 90 minutes and you can choose to do it with Sat Nam Rasayan. (Sat Nam Rasayan® means “Deep Relaxation in the True Identity” or without.

The KRI Level One Aquarian Teacher Training Program is a 220-hour professional certification program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan ®. An interactive course in the theory, practice, and basic skills of a Kundalini Yoga instructor, it includes 180 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of independent study: service projects, a 40-day meditation, and White Tantric Yoga. Graduates of Level One earn the title of KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® and fulfill the Yoga Alliance RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 200-hour requirement.

Foundations introduces the student to the principles and practices of the self-sensory human, and explores how Kundalini Yoga and yogic lifestyle can harmonize and uplift the human experience and awaken your true potential.

There are six principle components in a Level One program:

Kriya and Meditation: The foundation of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®
The theory and practice of Kundalini Yoga kriyas (yoga sets), asanas, and mudras. Explore the nature of the mind and its training through Kundalini Yoga meditations, mantras, and pranayam (breathing techniques).

Humanology and Philosophy: The Lifestyle of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher
The history and tradition of Kundalini Yoga, as well as the underlying philosophy behind all yogic practices. The technologies of Kundalini Yoga as they apply to healing and humanology (the science of daily living), including diet, nutrition, and relationships.

Level One Transformation

Anatomy & Physiology: Essentials of Yogic and Functional Anatomy
Traditional Western anatomy, its purpose and function, including the respiratory, nervous, immune, musculoskeletal, circulatory, endocrine, and digestive systems and their relation to the practice and teaching of yoga. Also Yogic anatomy and the energy systems of the body including the chakras, nadis, pranas and vayus, and the ten yogic bodies.

Consciousness of a Teacher: Virtues and Values of Living in the Golden Chain
The skills and techniques to become an effective instructor, including practical strategies for teaching beginners, ethical guidelines, curriculum development, and the transformational role of the teacher in developing a successful yoga practice.
